TRON [TRX] Main Net Just Hours Away – Next, TRON Independence Day

Tron [TRX]

TRON [TRX] – The Tron Foundation will be launching the long-awaited Tron Main Net Odyssey 2.0 at 11 AM tomorrow, May 31, 2018 (UTC+8). The Tron team is located in Beijing China and will be broadcasting the launch live via their Twitter page.

Two months ago, the team launched their test net and made the announcement that it would also bump up its main net launch. The developers behind the project came to the conclusion that it would be best to put out the most basic features of Tron and then drip out additional updates/upgrades from there. In the ramp up before the test net, TRX’s price jumped up 75%.

This doesn’t seem to be the case anymore for the cryptocurrency, as it has struggled on the market all week this week. At press time, TRX is trading at $0.0613 a coin, down –4.69%, in 24 hours. For the week, TRX is down –10.51%.

Independence Day

From June 1st – June 24th, Tron’s main net will undergo rigorous testing to its code before the token migration begins. On June 25th 00:000 Beijing time (GMT +8), the Genesis block will be created with the consensus of the entire Tron Community.

The updated Medium blog post reads:

“The main net release is a technical milestone, whereas supporting community preparation for Independence Day on June 25 is a large-scale operation. After the tech is released on May 31, we must bring together the 1M+ Tron Community members to prepare for becoming protocol independent from Ethereum.”

Token migration will not begin until May 21st, and all major exchanges that currently hold TRX will participate. TRX holders just need to make sure their TRX is on one of these exchanges by that time. The exchanges have agreed to do the technical aspects of the Token Swap and will pair it 1:1.

Check back with us tonight, for the latest news on the Tron main net launch!
