Tron (TRX) – Yesterday, the Tron Foundation made an announcement showcasing a new “recommended” Chrome wallet to be used by TRX holders.

Created by developer Jake Lin, the Tron Chrome wallet is a multi-functional wallet that can be applied to Google Chrome plugins but is designed specifically for the TRON web. It has been tested thoroughly, and the Tron development team believes the wallet has stable performance, good user experience, and provides quick interaction with digital accounts.
This wallet allows you to:
- Receive TRX through a QR code
- Send TRX and other tokens
- Check the balance of TRX and other digital currencies
- Check the TRX market
Users also can vote in the Tron Super Representative election using the Chrome wallet.
You can download the link to the wallet here. Like any online wallet, it is not advised to hold your digital tokens online. While the team claims it is safe, hacks still occur. The development team at Tron is currently working with Ledger to offer a hardware offline TRX solution.
Where’s the “Official” Tron Wallet?
While some TRX holders seemed excited about a Tron wallet, many were concerned and are waiting for the ‘official’ one to come out.
One user by the name of @AurthorCLBrown tweeted:
@Tronfoundation with all the recent hacks, especially the DNS hack of MEW, third party wallets concerns me. Especially web-based wallets. Are there any plans for an official Tron wallet from Tron team or any plans of having Tron work with hardware wallets like the ledger nano S?

Another Twitter user replied to the same tweet by saying:
Don’t need recommended wallet..need official wallet..😀

The good news is that the Tron team is currently working with the ledger team on a hardware wallet, but Tron enthusiasts may not be happy until the Tron dev team coughs up an “Official” Tron wallet.
