Welcome to the Crypto Olympics: Day 5!
Coin vs. Coin – who will be crowned the Crypto Olympics Champ?
Another exciting round, another exciting battle! Our competing coins today will be Stellar (XLM) and Ripple (XRP). Who will reign victorious?
In case you’ve missed it, these are the rules: we start with two coins and measure their gains and losses between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm PST. When the 4:00 pm finish line hits, whichever coin has gained the most (or lost the least if both coins are down) within our time frame is crowned the winner for the day and moves into the next bracket. We carry on until we end with our ultimate coin – the Crypto Olympics Champ.
We will be holding a podium ceremony at the end of our games to award the gold, silver and bronze medals to the appropriate coins.
Obviously, this is just for fun and games, and should not be taken as serious advice.
To see how we’re breaking up the rounds, check out the chart below. Otherwise, let’s get on with the competition!
Perhaps considered the underdog of the pair, Stellar is starting the day at $0.448925. That puts XLM up 8.57% in the past 24 hours.
The market is in the green today – will Stellar be able to ride the tidal wave all the way to the top? I like a good underdog story, so I’d root for Stellar.
Ripple won’t let the fight go so easily though. XRP is stepping up to the plate with a $1.08 selling price. That puts the altcoin up 5.25% in the past 24 hours – all that really matters, however, is how much XRP can grow from now until 4:00 pm PST.
Let the race begin!
Check back in at 4:00 pm PST to find out who today’s winner is. Whichever coin wins today will face off tomorrow with yesterday’s winner Ethereum.
We have our winner!
It was a great day for crypto today. Most coins were up, and Stellar and Ripple fought hard to come out on top. But there can only be one winner for the day, and that is…
XRP managed to increase by 5.6% between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, while XLM only increased by 1.1% in the same time frame.
Congratulations to Ripple! The altcoin will be moving into the next round and will compete tomorrow against yesterday’s winner Ethereum. That ought to be an exciting race!
